DIGIS3 to have a stand at the Advanced Factories congress in Barcelona, where Castilla y León will be the protagonist

Castilla y León has been named European Industrial Region 2024, a recognition by the organisers of the Advanced Factories Expo & Industry 4.0 Congress 2024 that gives the region a leading role in the event, which will be held in Barcelona between 9 and 11 April.

Mariano Veganzones, Minister of Industry, Trade and Employment of the Junta de Castilla y León, has been in charge of making official the presence of the region at the congress, which will feature specific workshops to highlight the work of industrial companies in this territory. In the words of the Minister, "this is a great recognition. Going to Catalonia, the Mecca of industry in Spain, is like getting to the top of Mount Everest. He underscored that "this is an opportunity that we cannot miss".

The European Digital Innovation Hub DIGIS3 will be present at the event with an exhibition stand together with its members DIHBU and SCAYLE and its affiliated entity Keyland SdG. There, it will showcase the excellence of industrial digitisation in Castilla y León, as well as proposals for the advancement of smart, sustainable and cohesive digitisation of SMEs and public administration entities in the region.

The industrial situation of Castilla y León, along with the collaboration between companies and the administration, has allowed for the achievement of a milestone in the national and international presence of the region. Industry in the region has a gross added value of 12,000 million euros, a turnover capacity of 42,000 million, 11,000 industrial companies and 4,000 million euros in wages and salaries.
