The Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castile and Leon (ICE), partner of the Digital DIGIS3 consortium, is participating in Barcelona in the final event of the Smarty Project - Smart SMEs for Industry 4.0, together with its partners from Italy, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Poland, Finland, Belgium and other Spanish regions. This project aims to establish a common basis for policy learning among project members and overcome the fragmentation of Industry 4.0 solutions.
ICE's participation in this event and the project, structured around the future of clusters, platforms and digital innovation hubs, as well as the implementation of policy tools and mechanisms to stimulate the adoption of Industry 4.0 solutions and their digitisation, has allowed DIGIS3 to become known as one of the main actors in supporting regional digital transformation, and will allow for the incorporation of good practices and of the experiences acquired during the development of the project in the deployment of DIGIS3 services.
Furthermore, through participation DIGIS3 has the opportunity to establish possible alliances with other European agents and EDIHS, in the framework of DIGIS3’s fields of operation, such as Industry 4.0. This will enable DIGIS3 to offer specialised Industry 4.0 services in other regions and to exchange good practices and carry out networking actions in a shared work environment.
